Urea

Urea

A granulated, highly concentrated, nitrogen- based fertilizer.

It can be easily spread across widths in excess of 30 meters, ensuring good spreading quality and better results.

Benefits of OCI Urea

  • High nitrogen content (46% N)
  • Uniform granules
  • Good spread over large widths (>30 meters)

Once applied, the nitrogen in our urea is first converted to ammoniacal nitrogen and/or nitrate nitrogen by enzymes and bacteria in the soil before the plant can absorb it. The speed of this conversion depends on the soil temperature and the available moisture. Because of the risk of ammonia loss during this conversion, the use of urea requires additional attention.

Urea is mainly used in regions of Southern Europe, France and large parts of Germany in the cultivation of the most common agricultural crops.
