Senior Maintenance Planner
Apply for roleResponsible for the execution of all Mechanical Maintenance work order processes. He / She is responsible for the efficient and effective use of planning all resources to conduct Mechanical activities which results in minimum downtime and maximum productivity. To fulfill these responsibilities in the most effective manner, the Planner is empowered to develop job plans, define parts and material, define crafts and skills, and engage the proper resources to develop a safe, effective work package.
Your scope of responsibility
- Responsible for the initial screening of incoming work orders, identification of scope and analysis of required level of planning
- Conducts field walk downs to identify and document job requirements
- Identifies specific safety hazards that will be encountered in the performance of the proposed work
- Estimates the required hours, total duration and skills required to perform the task
- Determines and includes QA/QC requirements for jobs
- Determines and arranges for parts, equipment and specialty tools required to perform the work
- Gathers necessary Engineering or Technical documents, specifications, and drawings
- Can accurately measure the maintenance backlog and continually maintain more than 3 weeks’ worth of Ready to be Scheduled work orders.
- Ensure all completed work orders have been performed and documented by plan.
- Improve equipment plans over time from feedback given by work order time entry.
- Always present a professional image to clients and vendors and maintain a positive reputation for the company.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Assists other Departments as necessary.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
What you bring to OCI
Education, Experience, and/or Training
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Degree in related field required, or 5 years or more of related experience and/or training can be substituted.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working in the skilled trade
- Minimum 2 years SAP or Maximo experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong Mechanical aptitude in Fixed and Rotating Equipment
- Have adequate craft knowledge and skill to accurately estimate labor hours, material requirements, and skills needed to complete a job
- Knowledge and understands the maintenance processes and proper use of the work order system.
Security Clearance Requirements
- Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC)
Software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel required.
- Experience with SAP required.
- Experience with MS Project is an advantage.
- Experience with Maximo is an advantage.
Physical
- The employee must be able to lift and/or move more than 20 pounds.
- Requires sitting, standing, and walking for extensive periods of time.
- Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to work with a moderate noise level in the work environment is required.
Work Schedule
- Monday – Friday between 8:00am – 5:00pm, working the 9/80 schedule
- May work additional hours and days, including weekends and holidays as required.
Travel
