The Operations Training Coordinator ensures all operations training is accurately and efficiently completed. Progression for each Ammonia plant process operator will be monitored, measured, and tracked accurately for the Operations Department. The Operations Training Coordinator will manage and ensure the effectiveness of the program.
Essential Job Functions
- Coordinate training program for chemical process operators
- Implement schedule for training among all four shifts of operations.
- Ensure newly hired operators are progressing through training schedule with efficiency and accuracy.
- Represent as plant subject matter expert on all areas of the facility.
- Actively Manage and Track progress of process operators’ progression.
- Actively Participate and provides feedback to ensure training program is universally consistent among shift personnel
- Performs third party walk throughs to validate Operator proficiency and provides improvement feedback as necessary
- Manage recertification programs to ensure the plan operators are re-certified on time.
- Maintain training materials and programs used to deliver training to operations.
- Anticipate needs of those receiving training to ensure operators are properly gaining knowledge required.
- Review progress with Operations and Maintenance Management teams
- Always present a professional image to clients and vendors and maintain a positive reputation of the company.
- Follow all relevant company policies and procedures.
- Ensure Training Program and Record Keeping complies with all Regulatory Agencies’ requirements
- Assists other Departments as necessary.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications________________________________________________________________
Licenses, Certifications, and/or Registrations
- None required.
Education, Experience, and/or Training
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Degree 2-Year Process Technology program, Engineering, or related field required, or 10+ years or more of related experience, and /or training can be substituted.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in Similar Manufacturing Facility.
- Previous experience as a Supervisor, Training Coordinator, or equivalent capacity is preferred.
- Ammonia Production Background is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of OSHA.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, CMMS, MESH Systems and SAP.
Security Clearance Requirements
- Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC).
Software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel required.
- Experience with SAP required.
Physical
- The employee must be able to lift and/or move more than 20 pounds.
- Requires sitting, standing, and walking for extensive periods of time.
- Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours.
- The ability to work at a moderate noise level in the work environment is required
Work Schedule
- Monday – Friday between 8:00am – 5:00pm, working the 5-8 schedule.
- May work additional hours and days, including weekends and holidays as required.
Travel
- Travel is not anticipated in this role.
