HSE Administrator
Apply for roleResponsible for performing a variety of support duties in the Safety, Health, & Environmental department. Manages HSE Training for the site. Assists in maintaining related records and files. Administers and coordinates necessary documentation for company personnel and plant visitors. Perform general office support functions and assist area personnel as necessary.
Your scope of responsibility
- Record, maintain, and report HSE related information.
- Maintain HSE records in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Manages permit audit data, data processing, filing, and safety reporting for all departments.
- Maintains HSE records of accident, injury, near-miss, and unsafe conditions investigations.
- Issues personal protection equipment vouchers to employees.
- Ensure that visitor badges and other related functions are performed in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Coordinates facility drive-on/badging process for employees, visitors, and contractors.
- Provide plant safety support.
- Provides statistical data and reporting on compliance with Structured Safety
- Manages annual safety training; assigns training by job role, conducts quarterly and annual audits, reports company progress.
- HSE software systems administrator, system user support and vendor relationship manager.
- Provides HSE reports (training, ISTC, VPP, etc.) to management.
- Responsible supporting the training process for new hires with company HSE information during onboarding session.
- Special Projects Lead for VPP; takes a lead role for the VPP Champions facilitates process, data collection and entry and Structured Safety System.
- Supports ISO 9001 & 14001.
- Coordinate with related departments as required. Answers questions and provides assistance.
- Keep management appropriately informed of area activities and of any significant problems.
- Attend and participate in meetings as required.
- Enters purchase requisitions in SAP.
- Perform miscellaneous clerical functions and special projects as assigned.
- Present a professional image at all times to clients and vendors and maintain a positive reputation of the company.
- Follow all relevant company policies and procedures.
- Assist other Departments and other administrative personnel as necessary.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.

What you bring to OCI
Education, Experience, and/or Training
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate degree; or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred.
- Preferred minimum three (3) years' experience working in HSE in a Manufacturing or Industrial industry.

Environmental
- Work is performed within an office environment, including office equipment – such as computers, telephones, and copiers.
- Requires passing by industrial equipment on way to office.
- Requires walking within a chemical plant to perform safety inspections or safety observations (on an infrequent basis)
- Noise levels are typically moderate.
Work Schedule
- Regular 40-hour work week 8:00am-5:00pm CST
- Weekends may be required during turnarounds.
- May work longer hours to meet deadlines as necessary.
Travel
- Less than 10% of the time.
