Within OCI Nitrogen, we are currently looking for a Plant HSE Officer.
What will you do as a Plant HSE Officer?
As an HSE Officer at OCI Nitrogen, you will be responsible for developing and advising on policies related to (process) safety, working conditions, and the environment. You play a key role in the development, implementation, and safeguarding of the HSE policy, as well as in the continuous improvement of the HSE culture.
In this independent role, you will actively raise awareness of safe working practices throughout the organization, both in terms of personal safety and process safety. You will conduct risk analyses, identify potential hazards, and develop procedures to minimize risks. In addition, you will help develop and deliver training programs for employees on safety and health guidelines.
You will serve as the primary point of contact for HSE-related matters and ensure compliance with all applicable legal requirements.
In this versatile day-shift position, you will be part of an HSEQ team that supports three plant units. You will report directly to the HSEQ Manager.
You recognize yourself in this

A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, such as HVK, Environmental Science, Safety Science, or Chemical Technology

Preferably experience as an operator in a chemical plant

At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the chemical industry

Thorough knowledge of relevant safety, health, and environmental legislation and regulations
-
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team

Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail

Binnen OCI Nitrogen zijn wij op zoek naar een Plant HSE Officer.
Wat ga je doen als Plant HSE Officer?
Als HSE Officer bij OCI Nitrogen ben je verantwoordelijk voor het opzetten van en adviseren over het beleid op het gebied van (proces)veiligheid, arbeidsomstandigheden en milieu. Je bent een belangrijke schakel in de ontwikkeling, implementatie en borging van het HSE-beleid en draagt actief bij aan de continue verbetering van de HSE-cultuur.
In deze zelfstandige functie houd je je bezig met het creëren van bewustzijn rondom veilig werken binnen de organisatie, zowel op het gebied van persoonlijke veiligheid als procesveiligheid. Je voert risicoanalyses uit, identificeert potentiële gevaren en ontwikkelt procedures om deze risico’s te minimaliseren. Daarnaast ben je betrokken bij het opstellen en verzorgen van trainingen voor medewerkers op het gebied van veiligheid en gezondheid.
Je fungeert als eerste aanspreekpunt voor HSE-gerelateerde vraagstukken en ziet erop toe dat wordt voldaan aan alle relevante wet- en regelgeving.
In deze veelzijdige dagdienstfunctie maak je deel uit van een HSEQ-team dat ondersteuning biedt aan drie plant units. Je rapporteert rechtstreeks aan de HSEQ Manager.
Jij herkent jezelf in het volgende
Een afgeronde hbo-opleiding in een relevante richting, zoals HVK, Milieukunde, Veiligheidskunde of Chemische Technologie
Bij voorkeur ervaring als operator binnen een chemische productieomgeving
Minimaal 3 jaar ervaring in een vergelijkbare functie, bij voorkeur binnen de chemische industrie
Grondige kennis van relevante wet- en regelgeving op het gebied van veiligheid, gezondheid en milieu
Uitstekende communicatieve vaardigheden en het vermogen om effectief samen te werken
Sterke analytische vaardigheden en oog voor detail
