QUALITY ASSURANCE – Electrical / Instrumentation

Implement and maintain the project quality plans and procedures. Act as an interface between project sites, procurement inspections, and clients. Responsible for the Q/A of Field QC staff on assigned project Sites.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

At a minimum, tasks will include, but not limited to:

  • Establishes, implements, and maintains the site quality program.
  • Coordinates with engineers, suppliers, subcontractors, regulatory representatives, and field to ensure that work is done correctly.
  • Ensures work on-site meets applicable codes and specifications.
  • Develops and administers site specific Quality Programs.
  • Surveillance/Audits of site Contractor Quality Control Programs.
  • Responsible for all aspects of electrical and Instrumentation qualifications and on-site testing.
  • Establishes inspection plan and the track inspections/actions are identified.
  • Approves site testing is performed correctly and verify tests are properly documented.
  • Reviews and controls documentation for the certification of construction and testing equipment.
  • Reviews turnover packages prior to handoff leading to Startup.
  • Assists in the coordination of punch list walkdowns/inspections; establishes and manages the punch list.
  • Collating Quality Control documentation for final handover.
  • Interfaces with contractors and government officials.
  • Develops and implements quality programs that assist projects and divisions to meet company expectations and quality goals.
  • Acts as a mentor to other quality professionals.
  • Implements Safety, Quality, Ethical Standards, Lessons Learned, and adheres to Performance Management programs in accordance with Division Policies, Standards, and Guidelines.
  • Supervises the work of others.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations

  • Certification in discipline

Education, Experience, and/or Training

  • Experience: 5+ years.
  • High School Diploma or geographical equivalent qualification preferred
  • 4-year degree in Engineering, Quality, Business, or geographical equivalent qualification in a related discipline is desired

  • Knowledge of National and/or International Rules and Regulatory Requirements.

  • Knowledge of project budget process and tools.

Eligibility REQUIREMENTS

Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check, pre-employment physical and drug screen.  In addition to the following:

 

Security Clearance Requirements

  • Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC)

Software

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel required.
  • Experience with SAP preferred

 

Physical

  • The employee must be able to lift and/or move 50 pounds. 
  • Requires sitting, standing and walking for extensive periods of time. 
  • Requires working indoors and outdoors in the elements.
  • Requires ability to navigate the project site slopes and uneven terrain by means of walking.
  • Requires climbing elevated structures by means of ladders up to 150 foot elevations.
  • Requires accessing platforms by means of stairs up to 150 foot elevations.
  • Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours.  
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. 
  • Ability to work with a typical high noise level in the work environment is required.
  • Ability to get to “field” in a timely manner is required.
  • Work is performed within an industrial environment, with heavy machinery.
  • Work is performed in the “field”, requiring personal protective equipment (PPE).

 

 

Work Schedule

  • Monday – Friday
  • May work additional hours and days, including weekends and holidays as required.

 

Travel
