We are looking for short sea chartering manager who is responsible for organizing, planning and optimizing short sea transports from dry bulk fertilizers, liquid bulk fertilizers and industrial products. This role involves managing carbo bookings, contracts and logistical planning for the transport of goods over short sea distances, typically within a range of a few hundred kilometers. The role requires a strong understanding of maritime regulations, negotiation with clients and shipowners, and maximizing cargo capacity to improve efficiency.
Your responsibilities are:
- Conduct day-to-day chartering related activities & negotiate Charter Party terms and requirements (incl. ship vetting, lay time calculations and claims);
- Source for optimal shipping solution for the cargo, monitor market freight rates movement, provide regular evaluation and market analysis;
- Forecast and analyze market conditions to optimize trading opportunities;
- Expand and develop contacts with owners;
- Secure spot and forward cargoes and COA's;
- Collaborate with various teams to ensure smooth chartering operations;
- Provide freight indications to the commercial and sales team;
- Stay updated on market trends and regulatory developments that affect the industry;
- Visit owners and other key commercial entities to maintain good work relationships;
