Responsible for ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, managing audits, and leading process improvement projects.

Your scope of responsibility

Manage monthly accounting close responsibilities for Methanol trading companies in OCI Methanol group:

  • Responsible for the monthly close process, including preparation of journal entries, review of journal entries and reconciliation and analysis of balance sheet accounts and income statement accounts.
  • Support RightAngle close.
  • Compile and review financial statements on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Update and reconcile intercompany balances in Hyperion HFM on Day 4.
  • Update and review financial Statements and supporting schedules in HFM on Day 7.
  • Update the forecast in Board system on Day 9.
  • Review invoices review to ensure proper GL coding.
  • Approve payment runs in SAP to validate payment amount, invoice workflow, vendor bank details and payment method.
  • Provide audit support by providing PBC, preparing quarterly variance analysis and responding to inquiries in a timely, accurate, and transparent manner.
  • Prepare and record recharge invoices in SAP for all intercompany billing.
  • Identify and implement process improvements in SAP S4 for the Methanol Group.

What you bring to OCI: 

Licenses, Certifications, and/or Registrations

  • CPA preferred 


Education, Experience, and/or Training

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required.
  • Three (3) years or more of related work experience.



  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook required
  • SAP preferred
  • RightAngle preferred
  • Hyperion HFM preferred
  • Good understanding of internal controls

  • Work well in team environment
  • Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
  • Journal entries experience
  • Solid understanding of financial statement preparation
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Analytical, highly motivated and is willing to learn and grow with the Company.
