We are seeking a highly experienced FP&A Analyst to join our Finance team, focusing on renewable mega projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and reporting, particularly within the chemicals or oil and gas sectors. This role is critical for supporting financial planning and analysis activities, requiring close collaboration with cross-functional teams in either our Houston, TX or Beaumont, TX locations.
Essential Job Functions
At a minimum, tasks will include, but not limited to:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and reporting for renewable mega projects.
- Develop and maintain monthly and quarterly reports, offering insights and analyses to inform decision-making processes.
- Assist Project Managers in preparing and analyzing internal revenue forecasts for various timeframes, ensuring they reflect project objectives accurately.
- Engage with engineering and project controls teams to monitor project progress and financial implications, identifying opportunities for efficiency and cost reduction.
- Perform variance analysis to determine key factors affecting project financial health and suggest strategies to improve project outcomes.
- Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations for senior management, investors, and other stakeholders, emphasizing project performance and vital metrics.
- Customer service – the position manages difficult client/client situations, responds promptly to client needs, solicits client feedback to improve service, responds to requests for service and assistance and meets commitments.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or an advanced degree is preferred.
- 7-10+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, ideally with a concentration in the chemicals or oil and gas industry.
- Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and variance analysis.
- Exceptional analytical capabilities with proficiency in converting complex financial information into practical insights.
- Detail-oriented with exemplary organizational and project management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of effective collaboration with diverse teams.
- Proficient in financial software and tools, including Excel, ERP systems, and financial modeling applications.

Software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook – required.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools, ERP systems, and financial modeling software.
Physical
- Ability to sit for extended amounts of time required.
- Ability to effectively communicate through various means required.
Environmental
- Work is performed within an office environment, including office equipment – such as computers, telephones and copiers.
- Noise levels are typically moderate.
WORK SCHEDULE
- Monday- Friday
- May work longer hours onsite and weekends to meet deadlines as necessary.
Travel
- Less than 10% of the time.
