Planning & Scheduling Supervisor

Oversee and manage the backlog to minimize business risk and ensure planning/scheduling is maintained to industry standards.
Your scope of responsibility
- Leads the maintenance planning and scheduling department.
- Set goals for the planning/scheduling department.
- Highly experienced in daily maintenance planning (7+ years)
- Knowledge of Mechanical and I&E work processes
- Develop and maintain planning and scheduling workflow process.
- Develop planning/scheduling policies and procedures.
- Responsible for creating and maintaining department KPI’s.
- Managing the planned and unplanned backlog
- Ensure Safety Jobs are tracked and managed as high priority.
- Assisting with the procurement and expediting of deliverables and assisting the purchasing group in sourcing materials.
- Identify gaps in the department and address.
- Develop long-term strategies for department success
- Manage and maintain the overall backlog based on industry standards.
- Defining the list of activities to represent the maintenance plan.
- Responsible for implementing cost saving tactics.
- Oversee direct and indirect labor unit estimate is represented in the resource-loaded schedule, including the design allowances.
- Ensuring the material cost estimate is represented in the schedule by helping to identify tracked material items and bulks.
- Reviewing contractors' schedules and ensuring contractors' compliance to the corporate and company scheduling standards and procedures.
- Ensuring all contractors are correctly inputting time and materials into work orders.
- Develops a control baseline schedule and maintains the current schedule to the company scheduling standards.
- Ensuring project schedules are maintained, in the correct formats, and consistent with the company objectives.
- Progressing department activities weekly.
- Performing periodic baseline schedule maintenance.
- Ensuring that any schedule related change to the maintenance schedule is documented and approved.
- Provide various reports as needed.
- Always present a professional image to clients and vendors and maintain a positive reputation for the company.
- Follow all relevant company policies and procedures.
- Assists other Departments and other administrative personnel as necessary.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
What you bring to OCI
Licenses, Certifications, and/or Registrations
- None required.
Education, Experience, and/or Training
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 10 years’ experience in planning/scheduling with Supervisory experience.
- SAP experience required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Production and Processing – Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
- Administration and Management – Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
- Negotiation – Bringing others together and trying to reconcile differences.
- Accounting – Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Regulations – Knowledge of laws and any applicable agency rules.
- Computer skills – the ability to operate computerized accounting and spreadsheet programs, as well as working with e-mail at a highly proficient level. Experience with SAP preferred.

Work Schedule
- Monday – Friday between 7:00am – 4:30pm, working the 9/80 schedule.
- May work additional hours and days, including weekends and holidays as required.
Travel
- Travel <10% of the time
